Contingent Workers: Ria

In response to our last newsletter, Ria Thomas got in touch about hot desks for her new venue finding & events business startup, The Event Book, launching in February.

Ria’s drive and enthusiasm would be an asset to any startup so watch out for her exciting new venture. Having set up two successful event agencies she felt it's now time to create her own. The Event Book will be the little black book of everything events, connecting events professionals with venues through its free venue finding service and working nationwide with corporate and private clients on events ranging from Christmas parties, conferences, and product launches, to high-end weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs.

At a glance.
Location:
London & The UK
On the web: www.theeventbook.uk - site launching mid-end of January 2020
Sounds: Beyonce & Jay-Z
Reading: 'Who moved my cheese' by Spencer Johnson, such a brilliant short read and really changed the way I think which is especially useful when going it alone!
I can't work without? A good cup of tea, wifi, and natural daylight!

Contingent Works. What brought you to Bromley?
Ria Thomas. I live locally and Contingent Works is just up the road so it gives me a great excuse to get out of the house to go to work.

CW. How will working in a cowork help your business?
RT. I love to chat and meet new people and I think coworking is the perfect opportunity to meet new people from different industries.

CW. What keeps you going through the day?
RT. Lots of cups of tea and working on my end goal - running a successful events agency.
