Contingent Works: How has working at Contingent helped you and your business?

Natasha Richardson: Well before I was working from home and we have a two-bed flat and my husband works from home also. So now the living room which used to be my arena is pretty much his, his stuff takes up so much more space. So, I come to get work done because otherwise it doesn't. I just end up doing housework when I'm at home.

CW: What made you choose Contingent?

NR: Well, its proximity to the house doesn't hurt. It's about three minutes away from where I live, but it's probably the nicest co working space I've ever worked at. I've worked at We Work I worked at a funny little thing that was like a start-up women's only co working space in East London for a bit, like We Work was big and snazzy, it's too big to ever be a real community, like what we have here. And Ewan and Sarah are just so forward thinking and innovative about their attention to detail about the space and how it works really is quite unique, I think.

CW: How would you describe your business and what you offer to people?

NR: So, I make natural remedies for period related problems. And we're about to move into the menopause arena as well. So, we have products for pretty much any age range now. If it relates to periods we've got it.

CW: What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

NR: Customer reviews, always customer reviews, hearing products worked and that really helped somebody is the reason why we do what we do.

CW: What advice would you give to someone looking to get into a similar role?

NR: Just do it? Most people just procrastinate the hell out of things and never get around to doing it. It doesn't have to be perfect. You just have to start.
